We were pleased to assist our clients to secure planning permission for a new two storey classroom building at a school in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. The new classroom building was to replace a pair of single storey temporary classrooms. The main school building on the site was a grade II listed building and therefore care had to be taken to achieve a scheme that would preserve the setting of the listed building as well as meeting the requirements of the school for additional classroom space. Spruce Town Planning worked with the development team including the architect, tree consultant, ecologist and heritage consultant to compile an application that addressed all of the key planning issues. Pre-Application discussions were undertaken with the Local Authority and planning permission was subsequently granted by the Authority under delegated powers.
