Spruce Town Planning were pleased to assist their client secure planning permission for a replacement house in the New Forest National Park.
The client wished to replace the existing house on the site with one that would provide additional living space but also be more energy efficient than their existing house. Spruce Town Planning worked with the client and architect to achieve a scheme that was of an appropriate design having regard to the site’s location in both a Conservation Area and the National Park, but that also met the client’s aspirations for additional living space. The scheme was carefully planned to comply with the National Park Authority’s adopted planning policies that set a limit on the degree to which existing and new houses can be extended relative to the original building, and to make best use of the space available. The planning application was subsequently approved under delegated powers.
